Yes, Abortion is a major issue for me, always will be

Sen. Barack Obama’s views on life issues ranging from abortion to embryonic stem cell research mark him as not merely a pro-choice politician, but rather as the most extreme pro-abortion candidate to have ever run on a major party ticket.

Barack Obama is the most extreme pro-abortion candidate ever to seek the office of President of the United States. He is the most extreme pro-abortion member of the United States Senate. Indeed, he is the most extreme pro-abortion legislator ever to serve in either house of the United States Congress.”

With these words Robert George opened his outstanding article Obama’s Abortion Extremism. We are facing the possibility of the culture of death coming to power in our nation. If life is important to you I urge you to read all of Dr. George’s article.

UPDATE: Dr. George really is a remarkable scholar. His book The Clash of Orthodoxies in 2001 remains must reading for anyone wanting to understand the crisis in law, religion and morality. I just found that he has written another article on Senator Obama and the life issues. Be sure and read Obama and Infanticide.

  1. Susan Woods Says:

Since we are created in God’s image, abortion is without a doubt the first issue I look for in a candidate. It tells me everything about his character in one all encompassing issue. The perplexing issue for the 2008 elections is that even though Sen. McCain says he is pro-life, he is for Federal Government funding of Stem Cell Research. So how do I reconcile this dichotomy of thinking? I guess I have to vote for the better good, and rest in the fact that God puts kings on their throne.

  2. Bill Haynes Says:

Susan, you are correct in your thinking. I don’t know of any conservative who is happy with McCain, but they are very much opposed to Obama. McCain is filled with contradictions and dichotomies that are beyond reason in my opinion. But the thought of an ObamaNation is beyond frightening.
